- After being at The Little Gym for over 4 years I have heard children say the funniest things and I love their honesty, they never fail to make you laugh! I couldn’t imagine not having a job where I get so many cuddles and get to act like a child again. From jumping like a frog, roaring like a dinosaur, to dancing like a Princess, there is never a dull moment at The Little Gym!

How did you get interested in sports?
- I was encouraged to try all sports as a child but I started Dancing at the age of 3yrs old and it was always my favourite! I worked my way through different Dance Grades, performed and competed in shows until I was 18yrs old. I then studied Fitness and qualified to teach studio classes, which I teach aside The Little Gym. I love the buzz and energy whilst teaching a Spin classes!

- I have had the pleasure of working at The Little Gym for 6 years and have loved every second! Everyone knows that TLG is the place for children to grow not just physically but in confidence too. It’s a place where they make new friends and can try new challenges whilst having so much fun. Personally for me though TLG goes even deeper than that….Teaching all of these amazing children it is about…seeing a Beast free to explore and have fun, a Super Beast learning more structure and making a transition to becoming a Funny Bug…. Seeing the joy in a Funny Bugs face when they nail their first forward roll by themselves, a Giggle Worm/Good Friend kicking up that little bit higher in their handstands and a Flip/Hotshot becoming stronger and wanting to take on fantastic new challenges! As well as being able to teach children which I love I have built up friendships with parents too. The Little Gym Rocks!

How did you get interested in sports?
- I have always loved being physically active since primary school! My favourite sports were athletics, gymnastics and netball.

- I love coming to The Little Gym and seeing the biggest smiles on every child’s face from the moment they walk through the door; I cherish their enthusiasm and love for gymnastics. The vibe in the gym is always full of laughter and eagerness and watching the children grow and develop is extremely rewarding.

How did you get interested in sports?
- Ever since I was born I have been brought up into a very sporty family. Having two brothers has meant I am exceptionally competitive. At school I have been a part of nearly every sports team from volleyball to rowing to high jump, yet always, being the shortest competitor! However, my main sport is hockey which I have played ever since I was six years old and I am currently playing at club, county and regional level.

What do you love to do in your free time?
- In my free time I love to train in my local gym to improve my strength and fitness and clear my mind relieving any stress I may have. I enjoy meeting up with my group of friends to go shopping and relax at the weekends.

What can't you live without?
- I could not live without iced coffee as it is not only delicious but also gives me a lot of energy for the day ahead.

Where have you lived?
- I have lived in Harpenden ever since I was born and have always attended a school in Harpenden too. I have visited many countries across the world, my favourite being Iceland as I got to go to the Blue Lagoon.

- Having come here when I was younger, the moment when I first come back was really special. Not only did it bring back so many memories but I realised that the same positive, encouraging environment hadn’t changed – although everything did seem smaller! Oh, and being called Princess Elsa was pretty amazing as well!

How did you get interested in sports?
- My mum took me to dance classes at the age of 3 and I have been hooked ever since. I love the way you can express yourself through the combination of the movement and the music, plus the joy of performing on a stage. I have been fortunate enough to perform in over 15 shows and local pantomimes. I am now focusing on taking my vocational exams. I am part of the school netball and rouncders teams and enjoy the team aspect of them.

What do you love to do in your free time?
- When I am not at school, dancing or at The Little Gym, I enjoy playing the piano. I also attend The Salvation Arm church every Sunday and am a part of both the children’s and adult choirs.

What can't you live without?
- It’s very clichéd but definitely my family. Being the eldest of 5 siblings isn’t always fun but we can have some of the best laughs, which is really special.

Where have you lived?
- I was born in Hillingdon but have lived in Harpenden since I was 4years old. I love going to Wales, especially to visit family and have also been to the Isle of Wight but cannot wait to travel further afield.

How did you get interested in sports?
- I have danced since I was 3 and have been trained in many styles including ballet, jazz and street! I went from school into even more dance training and got to work with some very talented people along the way. I was lucky enough to put on the famous Butlin’s Redcoat and worked there as a dancer for 2 years!

Your favourite The Little Gym story?
- I love playing a part in helping the children’s confidence grow. My favourite part of the day at The Little Gym is when a child says they ‘can’t’ do something or a certain skill scares them but by the time class is over they have achieved it and mo9re and they leave with a ‘can do’ attitude. This makes me very proud.

How did you get interested in sports?
- I have danced from a very young age, completing dance grades in tap and ballet. I then went onto the following in the footsteps of all the other ladies in our family and joined a local theatre group where I was lucky enough to perform lots of well known shows. I then went on to gaining a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts sad my passion for dance is still very much alive to this day. I love to keep active and enjoy yoga and netball in my spare time.

What do you love to do in your free time?
- I love spending my free time with my 2 boys. This includes a nerf gun war or 2 and lots of boy talk about superheroes and other things boyish that I pretend to understand. I also love to spend it with my friends having a good natter over a glass of vino or two! Nothing beats a good old movie night and takeaway at home.

What can't you live without?
- Cups of tea, a nice hot bubble batch and of cours4e my amazing friends and family.

Where have you lived?
- I spent my childhood growing up in Barnet but after renting in various houses around Hertfordshire my husband and I finally brought our first house in May 2016 in East Hyde. My favourite place I have visited is Thailand where I travelled for 4 weeks.

Your favourite The Little Gym story?
- My favourite Little Gym moment was on my first day at the Little Gym at a party. There was child who kept coming up to the bar and had such a cheeky smile and was so happy for his Dad to see him swing. He eventually asked to go on the big bar and was so happy with himself. After that he kept coming back every 30 seconds and pointing at the top bar and laughing. Just shows you wat a simple skill can give a child.

How did you get interested in sports?
- I have always been passionate about sports and since I was 11 years old I wanted to pursue a career in sport. I played every sport I could during school and was always at my happiest when I was on a Netball court. When I got to A Levels, I was not encouraged  to pursue sport and I got told I wouldn’t get anywhere by pursuing sport in life. This just made me more determined to prove everyone wrong! I did my PE A level with really teachers and went to university to study Sport.

What do you love to do in your free time?
- I love to play Netball. I train with a team and play twice a week. Being part of a team is something really important to me and I love being active. I also like hanging out with friends and family. Mainly I love to play sport and be active – I also like spending some time with my gorgeous dog!

What can't you live without?
- I can’t live without my Mum and Dad, all my family and my best friend. I can always rely on them for support and advice. I also can’t live without sport.

Where have you lived?
- I have lived in England my whole life but moved to Leeds for university where I had some of the best times of my life. With the university I have travelled to Fiji to work with the charity Think Pacific where I got to live in a rural village with a Fijian family. I am also half Swiss since a lot of my family live in Switzerland.
